Shop Talk Program @ Headlands Center for the Arts

As program manager at Headlands Center for the Arts between 2012 and 2016, I developed public program series models, curated and implemented programs, and developed discrete events. Shop Talk was a discursive event series that put artists working in different disciplines into conversation about their respective practices, catalyzed by a shared area of research or grounding ideas. The public programs sought to go beyond the artist talk to something more akin to the behind the scenes tone of a studio visit, opening conversation with attendees to explore how creative practice unfolds and what stakes are at place in their work.
