Fieldwork Sessions Program @ Headlands Center for the Arts

As program manager at Headlands Center for the Arts between 2012 and 2016, I developed public program series models, curated and implemented programs, and developed discrete events. Fieldwork Sessions, a program that I developed and then organized from 2014 to 2016, were interactive, hands on workshops and gatherings inspired by the organization’s Marin Headlands site, landscape, and artist community.

As a dynamic ecosystem, richly layered cultural site, and longstanding gathering space for artists to experiment in their practices, the program was an opportunity to explore many facets of the site through creative practices of local and resident artists with participating audiences. Collectively, Fieldwork Sessions accumulated multiple ways of knowing place, building a prismatic view through many artists practices and points of view.
