Exhibited Oct 8 - Nov 15, 2013Invited to commission new work by an emerging Bay Area artist Ernest Jolly as a guest curator for Pro Arts Gallery’s 2x2 Solos program, I collaborated with Jolly to produce the site-specific multimedia installation Outside Influence. The work faced Frank Ogawa / Oscar Grant Plaza and Oakland City Hall, and engaged the histories and possible futures of that highly contested site and the city of Oakland. For the 2x2 Solos program, I commissioned a catalogue essay by John Zarobell and was a discussant with Jolly about the exhibition.
